WHAT ARE THE ODDS OF A PARENT DOING IT ALL WRONG?.

       Most parent's try their best to make their children happy and to raise them to their very best. The definition of raising one's kid the RIGHT WAY is a concept unique to family morals and ethics.

    

      Most articles I have read stipulated that there are no right way to raise your kids, i agree BUT. There is still a clear difference between Right and Wrong. Some parents use this excuse to raise their kids in bad and unconfortable environment's.

      There are different types of parenting recognised in psychology today. You can either be a kind of parent that is accommodating, loving but at the same time strict with your rules and consequences and taking your kids into consideration, this type of parenting is called Authoritative Parenting. 

      You can also choose to be type of parent that does not listen to his/her kids, they don't care of their children's opinion, they don't put their children feelings into consideration and they like punishment instead of  discipline, this type of parenting is called Authoritarian parenting. Authoritarian parenting is the opposite of Authoritative Parenting. This type of parents some times don't know the difference between  punishment and discipline. And this leads to child abuse.

      Permissive parent's thinks their children would learn with little interference and they often only steps in when there is a serious problem. They take more of a friend role than a parent's role. Uninvolved parenting, they don't care about their children's where about or who they spend time with. They expect their kids to learn themselves. They are neglectful but sometimes not intentional. Parent's with health issues or mental illness can't be blame for being an Uninvolved parent's.

      Nigeria's economic growth is nothing write on about although the federal governments are trying their best. Most parent's are forced to raise their children in the slums where they can not get the required human needs for survival such as good shelter, good food, good health care system, education, drinkable water, good housing etc. These parents are forced  to raise their children in harsh environments and sometimes they are also forced to induced their children into child labour. And most times the children ends up being the one providing for the family which the family later becomes a childheaded family. Childheaded family is a type of familiy where by the children are the one's providing for the family. Most time's this is done against the children's will.

      Child labour is defined as work that is mentally, physically, socially or morally dangerous and harmful to children and deprive them of opportunities  for schooling and development (UNICEF). Young kids (starting from the age of 10) work has HOUSE HELPS. This form of slavery is common in Africa. Some children volunteered to work has house helps to help their families while most her sold to child traffickers.

      Some children are lucky to end up with good people and who treat others the way they want their children to be treated  while some ends up with ANIMALS IN HUMAN SKINS. These individuals belittle children that is not biologically theirs (house helps) and treat them like they are not humans, they do all this in front of their children and their children learn from their parents.

      Socialization starts from home and the family. Socialization is a learning process that begins shortly after birth. A child start to learn about his/her culture from home. Also personalities are also formed. As a parent you serve as a role model to your children. They watch your every actions and character's as they grow.

   

      So when you demean a fellow individual and you see your self as righteous, your children also learn these behaviours. One thing I will always stick to is your environment influence you. A child growing up in a family where domestic violence is persistent might grow up to be either a person that denounce domestic violence or grow up to be a perpetrator of domestic violence.

      What are the grantees that you show your kids love, you raise them the RIGHT WAY. You trained them to be the best they can be and they won't still grow up to be Hoodlums, White collar criminals, Domestic violence perpetrators, Organized criminals such as Rapist, Armed robbers, False prophet's, Fraudsters, Prostitutes, Money launders, Kidnappers, Human traffickers, 419 Scampers and so on?

      What are the odds of a parent doing  it all wrong?.
